Rate all areas on a scale of “1 – to – 5” using the following key:

1 = Poor - major improvement needed.

2 = Fair – mediocre, improvement needed.

3 = Good – slightly above average, trending upward.

4 = Excellent – above average, exemplary work.

5 = Superior – work of the highest quality and standard

__1. POSTURE – Observe head, shoulders, dropped jaw, expanded chest, relaxed body.

__ 2.DICTION – Clean, crisp beginning and ending consonants; shape vowel sounds, hold out pitches on vowel sounds.

__3. PLACEMENT OF SOUND – Appropriate use of head voice, dropped jaw and tongue, vibration in the mask. Quality of sound is full and rich (not breathy).

__4. BREATHING – Deep breathing while pushing the air down. No shoulder movement. Legato phrasing with breaths only at the end of a phrase.

__5. EXPRESSION – Sing with feeling and varying dynamics.

__6. INTONATION – Sing correct pitches for that voice part. Sing pitches centered on the pitch (not sharp or flat).

__7. RHYTHM – Sang with precise tempo, meter, and melodic rhythms.
